Borderlands — Terms & Conditions

By registering for, applying to, or participating in any Borderlands retreat, event, or experience, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Participation & Eligibility
Borderlands retreats are designed for adult men (35-60 years). Participation is subject to an application and review process. Borderlands reserves the right to accept or decline applications to ensure the integrity, safety, and balance of each cohort.
2. Nature of the Experience
Borderlands offers experiential retreats that may include physical movement, breathwork, martial arts, somatic practices, emotional inquiry, and time in nature. These experiences are not medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment, and are not a substitute for professional healthcare.
Participants are responsible for assessing their own physical, emotional, and mental readiness to participate and for disclosing any relevant conditions during the application process.
3. Personal Responsibility & Risk
By participating, you acknowledge that:
- Physical and emotional intensity may be part of the experience
- You participate voluntarily and at your own discretion
- You are responsible for listening to your body and respecting your limits
Borderlands facilitators may guide and support, but each participant remains fully responsible for their own choices and wellbeing.
Participants confirm that they are medically and physically fit to participate, and that they have sought professional medical advice where necessary prior to attending.
4. Payments & Fees
All retreat fees must be paid in full as per the payment schedule shared at the time of acceptance. Your spot is confirmed only once payment is received.
Prices may vary by retreat and are subject to change for future offerings.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand that circumstances can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
Cancellation at least one month before the retreat start date
→ Full refund of all payments made
Cancellation 15–30 days before the retreat start date
→ 50% refund of the retreat fee
Cancellation 7–14 days before the retreat start date
→ 25% refund of the retreat fee
Cancellation less than 7 days before the retreat start date
→ No refund
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within a reasonable timeframe via the original payment method. Any third-party payment processing fees or bank charges incurred at the time of payment or refund are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refunded amount where applicable.
Borderlands reserves the right to make exceptions only in rare and exceptional circumstances, at its sole discretion.
6. Changes or Cancellation by Borderlands
In the unlikely event that Borderlands needs to cancel or reschedule a retreat due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered:
A full refund or
The option to transfer their payment to a future retreat
Borderlands is not responsible for additional costs incurred (e.g. flights or accommodation booked independently), including circumstances beyond our reasonable control such as natural events, illness, or government restrictions.
7. Confidentiality & Community
Confidentiality is foundational at Borderlands.
What is shared within the container is not to be carried outside it. Stories, experiences, and expressions are received here, digested here, and held with respect. This applies to words spoken, emotions expressed, and moments witnessed.
Participants are welcome to reflect on their own experience after the retreat, but not to share or identify another person’s story.
Borderlands may document retreats through photographs or video for archival, learning, or communication purposes. Any identifiable use will be respectful, consent-aware, and aligned with the spirit of the work. If you have specific concerns around visibility or use, please raise them in advance so we can accommodate where possible.
This shared commitment to confidentiality and care is what allows trust, depth, and real presence to emerge within the group.
Borderlands reserves the right to remove a participant from the retreat, without refund, if their behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or in violation of the spirit of the container, as assessed by the facilitators.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Borderlands, its facilitators, and organisers shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation, except where required by law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India.
